Design and Looks
The Nokia 1208 is built keeping in mind the dusty tropical climate of the Indian subcontinent. Naturally it is of very robust design. To further enhance its longevity, the frame is dust and splash-proof, the keypad is rubberized and the back cover incorporates anti-slippery technology for those sweaty moments in the outdoors. The phone is fairly compact and is of a simple rectangular design with rounded edges. It comes in two smart colour schemes: all black and black-red.
Being a basic phone, texting and calling are its most vital functions. In terms of texting, the phone scores a 100 with its user friendly keypad which is basically a rubberpad of single unbroken design. On the software front users have the support of T9 predictive input/dictionary to help them draft messages quickly and easily.
The phone's speakerphone is loud enough so you won't have to worry about missing an incoming call in noisy environments. Call reception is good even where network isn't particularly strong. Battery life is also phenomenal.
The phone is a modest offering that serves all its purposes extremely well. The phone is a result of years of perfection that Nokia has attained in the basic phone segment. It won't be a surprise if a person of higher means chooses this phone over an expensive model.
