Design and Looks
The phone has a rectangular body with smoothened edges. The navigation and soft/call-end buttons are coloured silver to stand out with the black keypad. The phone is of slim design and can easily slip into the tightest of pockets. The phone is attractively coloured black with silvery edges. The phone is indeed made out of fine, super-strong plastics and just goes on to prove Nokia takes special care to ensure you get your money's worth, even if it's a budget phone.
Texting is made simple thanks to the user friendly keypad which is nearly flat but still offers great touch orientation because of the large, spaced out keys. The soft/call-end keys around the D-pad are unfortunately not as responsive as the alphanumeric keys. This is because each side comprises of an integrated call/end key of unbroken format. Add to that the D-pad is extremely small and hard to use especially if you've got big fingers.
For music there's the integrated FM radio. Other multimedia features include the basic VGA camera which is also capable of capturing crude videos. The camera features 4x zoom capability. There is a dedicated key to jump instantly to the camera menu. Watch out though, the camera only has an internal memory of 11MB so don't expect to shoot video for more than a few minutes. The primary purpose of the camera is to augment the MMS function.
The phone has advanced connectivity options including Bluetooth, GPRS and EDGE. With the aid of GPRS, users can also Instant Message. This however is subject to the mobile service provider. The phone also supports audio messages which is essentially a MMS but without the videos or picture. This phone is quite stylish and functional for its price and one of the best low-end phones in the market today.
