Design and Looks
The Nokia 3110 classic has a candybar form. It isn't particularly sleek but is fairly light. The design is reminiscent of a Sony Ericsson bar. It has a good sized display and large keys that take up the entire lower portion of the phone.
However, unlike most low end phones, it features a plastic embedded keypad instead of a rubber pad which makes texting hard. Fortunately, the flat keypad offers some sort of touch orientation with the fine depressions that separate the rows. The confirming center of the D-pad is great but the navigation ring surrounding the confirming center itself is far too thin and hard to manipulate without making errors.
The camera is provided by a 1.3MP unit which is of very poor quality. It is also capable of taking videos but these are of very low resolution. Other entertainment features include a mediaplayer.
An outstanding feature of the phone is the option to insert a memory card which is uncommon among lower end models. The phone supports cards upto 2GB so in effect the phone can also double-up as a music player.
Not the least, the phones sports advanced connectivity options and capabilities such as Bluetooth and EDGE.
The phone offers great protective features such as a rubber seal for the battery cover and dust protection covers for the USB port.
A good phone if you want mid-end features at a reasonably low price.
