Design and Looks
The phone has a classic design as the name says and has been designed keeping the user's convenience into consideration. The phone has been given soft corners so that it's gripped in the hand and also the size is small enough to fit in many pockets.
The phone houses the 2.2 inch display which supports QVGA resolution and upto 16 million colors. There is also a light sensor above the screen but the brightness can be adjusted manually too. The display has inaccurate color rendering though the themes look alright. The sunlight eligibility is perfectly alright. Below the display is the familiar Nokia navigation and soft keys layout, a five way navigation pad surround by send/end, clear/cancel and Symbian menu keys. And at the bottom part is the lies the numeric keypad.
The 6720 Classic runs on Symbian S60 v3 FP2 which also mean there will have more intuitive UI, having a MultiTasking ability, smarter Messaging application and etc.
The handset surprisingly features a 5 MP camera and comes equipped with autofocus, LED flash and a Carl Zeiss lens. The image is captured at a resolution of 2592x1944 pixels and video at 15 fps. The camera also features face detection and image stabilization.
The music player on the handset is ordinary but supports most of the audio formats available. The player can be minimized to play in background. The player comes with five equalizer effects and the user can also make custom effects if required. The phone features an FM radio which can automatically scan and save the FM stations in an area. It also includes the RDS support with it.
Connectivity options on the phone are many and shouldn't be a worry as the phone supports USB 2.0, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP. The phone supports a memory card slot and in terms of wired connectivity, the classic offers a 3.5mm audio jack which also can be used as a TV-out port. The cable however is not supplied.
The internet browsing experience is a pleasure on the phone with the virtual mouse cursor allowing easy to control actions. It has a full support for Flash and Java content.
The phone comes along with a built in GPS receiver and a ten-day complimentary voice guided drive navigation license and lifetime pedestrian navigation with Ovi Maps. The Ovi maps application on the phone comes with version 3.0.
